Planning for the future of Steamboat Park
There is a Town of Cortlandt committee which meets regularly on the integration of the former Martin properties into Steamboat Riverfront Park.

The Town is working to update the 1993 Steamboat Riverfront Park Master Plan.  Ideas include - retention of the former Martin brick home as possible environmental learning center, museum, public meeting space and bathrooms.  Gardens and tree plantings, cleaning out around the old Clay hole and turtle pond, construction of an aviation themed playground, picnic pavilion, and possible outdoor band shell.

Aviation Themed Playground being planned.  Click here for a copy of the VRA's Letter of Support for Grant Funding.
